We would like to invite you to a special seminar (jointly organized with UCL) in honour of James Durbin. The speaker this year is Professor T.W. Anderson of Stanford University. He is probably best known for his two text books: “An introduction to Multivariate Statistics”, and “The Statistical Analysis of Time Series”, both of which are highly cited classics. But he was also a pioneer in the development of methods for simultaneous equations, and is author of the famous Anderson and Rubin paper that is still generating interest after 60 years. He is still active in research at the age of 91. The title of his talk is: “Optimal significance tests for simultaneous equation models”
The seminar will take place in the New Theatre from 3.00pm – 5.00pm on Thursday 29th October. Chaired by Professor P.M. Robinson.
