The official launch of the Centre for Microdata Methods and Practise will be chaired by Andrew Dilnot (Director, Institute for Fiscal Studies). Keynote speakers are Nobel Laureates Dan McFadden (Berkley) and Jim Heckman (Chicago). Other distinguished speakers will be drawn drawn from academia, the public and private sectors and the media. They are: Richard Blundell (Professor, University College, London), Andrew Chesher (Director, cemmap), Evan Davis (Economics Editor, BBC), Baroness Sarah Hogg (Chair, Frontier Economics), Susan Linacre (Director of Methodology and Statistical Development, Office for National Statistics), Sir Andrew Turnbull (Permanent Secretary, HM Treasury), John Vickers (Director, Office of Fair Trading).
