Sponsored by the ESRC National Centre for Research Methods (NCRM)
This workshop will explore the nesting of behavioural experiments within large scale social surveys. Social Scientists have designed experiments that provide useful measures of risk tolerance, trust, time preference and other constructs. Conducting such experiments within large surveys allows the resulting measures to be considered in the context of detailed information on the backgrounds and real life choices of the respondents. This workshop will consider what has been learned from recent experience with such methods, and draw out implications for future research designs.
Confirmed speakers include:
- Orazio Attanasio, University College London and IFS
- Arthur van Soest, Tilburg
- Hans-Martin von Gaudecker, Mannheim
- Syngjoo Choi, University College London
- Charles Bellemare, Laval
- Joachim Winter, Munich
