One of the ultimate goals of economics is to inform a better policy based on empirical evidence. This one-day conference features the issue of empirical policy design from a wide range of perspectives including econometrics, economic theory, and empirical economics.
The keynote speaker of the conference is Charles Manski (Northwestern), and the confirmed speakers include Debopam Bhattacharya (Cambridge), Caterina Calsamiglia (CEMFI), Sylvain Chassang (Princeton), Jesse Gregory (Wisconsin-Madison), Guido Imbens (Stanford Graduate School of Business) and Sokbae ‘Simon’ Lee (Institute for Fiscal Studies).
